Blurred, 2019

The performance of the body in the videos can be considered as a queer action as a result of the expression of identity and interventions in the form of fiction. The bodies that are viewed are in an independent flow that reveals their special existence beyond a masculine display of power. The body and limbs that we are faced with have a function of direct evidence. The activity here is not on shaping a masculine form or texture. On the contrary, it is to scrape the concepts assumed by the masculine and to embrace a state of being that is not patronizing. In the videos, in which the representations of a variable movement rather than a fixed gender emphasis can be seen, water and waves provide the ground for the queer through being elements emphasizing the fluidity of movement. Phallus or male body is in the course of an open end action which demolishes the ruling power concerning transformation. The body remaining blurred tries to weaken the domination of what is masculine via melting in the historical context. It also tries to destroy the problematic responsibility which was encumbered on it and this anonymous performance of the body creates a queer layer.
